Dewania going Green

It has come to my attention that the dewania lately is not contributing to the society as well as mother nature. We’ve all done our parts to keep Kuwait clean by throwing our waste in bins instead of on the streets, and joined the tareeshed campaign not to waste electricity and water, however, its not enough!
Now in most dewanias (especially ours) we spend 180 kd (every 50 days) on machla (groceries) for the dewania ranging everything from tissues, soap, daqoos bo deech and most importantly the mixture of coca cola, Pepsi and 7ups…and lets not forget bolai66afs diet cola!
With so many glass bottles laying around and being thrown away in the bin, the chance to contribute to recycling and become green came to our discussion. Now the final problem is who will pick up the 100+ bottles at the end of every week and start the recycling process! I’ve been googling and asking around for recycling companies in Kuwait and the only thing i came across was KGL who have a sub category company KGL Waste Management Co. W.L.L.
What i did find was this cool site that calculates your carbon footprint. As you can see from the picture, im not doing my part…the [LINK]
*NOTE*
Here’s a better link to show KGL’s recycling power…the [LINK]

I am so happy to read this! If you find out more about recycling in Kuwait, please post the info. I live in Mangaf and the trash is overwhelming!
I hope you can inspire others around to go green too!
Thanks.

Mashallah 3alaich.Thanks for making an effort towards trying to be more environmentally friendly. Honestly all it takes is just to care a little bit. 6ab3an in our society, its carelessness that we need to blame..cuz if Kuwaities want something, believe me they’ll get it. ne6ray 3alaihum shway, then suddenly recycling will be a “habba” and inshallah everyone will join and recycling factories will pop out of no-where.
;p

Well done guys. I wish all inhibitants of Kuwait do that…recycle the usefull stuff. There is another problem; people dont put their garbage in the Baladiya’s bin at night the proper time, to be removed early morning by garbage guys. They dont care to tell their house maids not to throw them during the day, where Bangalis play with the stuff next day and also the cats.
So guys start the campain to educate the house workers , staring from your house and your relatives houses.
